49:22trust is a Christian organisation which exists:
1. To operate comprehensive Aliyah programmes which assist the return of Jewish people to Israel without use of force or coercion, and which endeavour to be mutually beneficial for both the Jewish olim and the state of Israel.
2. To raise general awareness of the evils of antisemitism and to provide education against them. This includes the antisemitism which is often expressed today in the form of anti-Zionism or anti-Israelism.
3. To teach the non-Jewish world in general and gentile Christians in particular God’s plan and promises for Israel and the Jewish People, as revealed in the Scriptures. This specifically involves expounding gentile responsibility for supporting the return of the Jewish people to their land and to their God.
4. To provide financial and moral support for other practical programmes which further the above aims.
This is done in response to the Hebrew and Christian scriptures, with an emphasis on Isaiah 49:22, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: "See, I will beckon to the Gentiles, I will lift up my banner to the peoples; they will bring your sons in their arms and carry your daughters on their shoulders”.’
God clearly declares in this passage, together with many others, that Gentiles will assist Jewish people from the Diaspora to Israel where He shall restore them to Himself, and through their restoration reveal Himself to the rest of the world.
49:22 trust educates primarily through TV programmes, all of which can be viewed and downloaded here along with other teaching resources. The practical programmes it supports are both in the Diaspora and in Israel.
